About the Author M. E. Taylor is a nurse and an entrepreneur, with many diverse interests, including designing and building this website and its graphics. It has always been the author's dream to do a treasure hunt, even imagining such an adventure as a child. The one thing that has stood in the way in the past has been a lack of funds with which to offer a great prize for such a treasure hunt. But where there is a will, there is a way. So with much patience, over a period of several years, a cache was built up, purchasing one or a few items at a time, until a respectable amount of treasure items were secured. This project has been many years in the making. Another intriguing aspect to the treasure hunt is that the story revolves around a particular artifact, a “honkin’ huge” amethyst pendant, which is included in the actual treasure cache (see photo below, which is shown at less than half actual size!). As part of the inspiration for the story, the author imagined that the pendant contained a special power and wrote a whole narrative around it, chronicling its adventures throughout history. This novel truly excites the reader’s imagination. Please note that this novel was also written with the goal in mind of reminding folks that there are other valuable treasures besides gold and jewels - treasures like family, health, freedom, safety, history, knowledge, wisdom, life, and love.
